Kathryn L  Goodwin-Large
Kathryn Goodwin-Large, 56 of Painesville, OH passed away at Cleveland Clinic surrounded by family and friends. Born on May 10, 1960 in Wilmington, OH to Dr. E.E. Goodwin and Sarah E. (Smalley) Goodwin.

Kathy had a lengthy career in helping others. She received degrees in special ed, social work, and later received a degree in nursing home administration. She worked as a teacher, case manager, admissions director, human resource director, and a director of social services. Her most recent employment was with Lake County Council on Aging. She attended Morehead State University, Southwest Texas State University, Lake Erie College and Ohio State University. Kathy acquired teaching certificates in Ohio, Kentucky, South Carolina, Alabama, and Texas. No matter where she worked Kathy went above and beyond what was expected to help her students and clients.

Kathy is survived by her mother, Sarah E. Goodwin; brother, Mark D. Goodwin; sister, Karen M. Goodwin (Pat McConnaughy); and her nephews, Sam Goodwin, Ben Goodwin, and Connor McConnaughy. She is also survived by 24 aunts and uncles, and numerous cousins, second cousins, and third cousins.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father Dr. E.E. Goodwin; her husband, James L. Large; 4 aunts and uncles and one cousin.

Visitation will be on Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 1-3PM and 5-7PM with a funeral service following at 7:00PM at Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave., (opposite Lake Erie College) Painesville, Ohio 44077.

Contributions are asked for Lifebac, Meals on Wheels, or to the family to help defray Kathy's final expenses.
