Mrs. Winifred E. Govze, age 88 of Painesville passed away May 21, 2017. She was born May 26, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Norman and Ester Boud. Mrs. Govze worked at the Great Lakes Mall. She will be remembered as an animal lover, having had many dogs throughout her life.

She is survived by her children, Drew Geddis of Charlotte, NC, Laurie (Joseph Bosley) Beckwith and Donald (Rose) Geddis. She also leaves her grandchildren Shane Beckwith and Mitchell Geddis as well as her sisters Ann McMillan, Norma Thompson, Helen Green and brother Dennis Ambrose.

Winifred was preceded in death by her husband John Govze, her parents and brother Kenny Ambrose.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave., (opposite Lake Erie College) Painesville, Ohio 44077.
