Bradford J. Van Pelt., Sr., 61, passed away Monday, November 28, 2011, at TriPoint Medical Center surrounded by his family. He is now reunited with his beloved wife of 39 years, Peggie S. (Gribble) Van Pelt.
He was born March 10, 1950 in Painesville, Ohio to Richard O. and Margaret A. (Paulosko) Van Pelt. He was a lifelong Painesville resident.
Brad retired from Ametco Mfg. Corp in 2009 after 39 years of service. He enjoyed the outdoors and shooting sports. He achieved a life long dream of a South African Safari. He also enjoyed spending time with his loving family.
He will be missed dearly by his son, Bradford J. Van Pelt., Jr.; his daughter, Michelle (David) Elersich; grandchildren, Riley, Chase and Caden; brother, Richard O. (Mariann) Van Pelt; mother-in-law Billie Jo Gribble; brothers-in-law, Tom Gribble, John (RoseAnn) Gribble, Jeff (Theresa) Gribble; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Peggie S. Van Pelt; his parents, Richard O. and Margaret A. (Paulosko) Van Pelt; and father-in-law, Howard E. Gribble.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 Friday at the Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave. (opposite Lake Erie College), Painesville.
Funeral mass will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church, 242 N. State Street., Painesville, Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
