Alan “Ike” Nelson age 69 of Painesville and previously of Willoughby died April 2, 2013 at Lake Med Nursing Home. He was born on January 13, 1944 in Willoughby to the late Bill and Dorothy Nelson.

He enjoyed visiting with residents of Washington Square, listening to Bluegrass music, and playing CLR.

Survivors are his siblings; Bill (Carol) Nelson of Mentor, Rose M. Bryan of Painesville, and Don (Victoria) Nelson of Painesville; companion, Stephanie Vanek.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Alma “Rose”; step daughter, Michelle Dillow; and parents.

Funeral service will be Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 11:00AM at Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave., Painesville (Opposite Lake Erie College). Visitation will be Friday from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
