Mr. E. James Vargo, age 90 of Concord Twp passed away September 30, 2013 at Golden Ridge Assisted Living in Concord Twp. He was born December 16, 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio and had been a resident of Concord Twp. for nearly 30 years.

Mr. Vargo enjoyed snow skiing which he did until the age of 75, golfing and bowling. He remained active and during his time in the Army Air Corps won medals in diving competitions. He served as a pilot flying B-52's.

He retired from Clevite/JP Industries as a Sales Executive. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Fenn College.

He is survived by his son James Alan Vargo, his daughter Deborah (Steven) DeGroot; grandchildren Kevin DeGroot and Christine Vargo and great grandchildren Austin James and Patience Rose Vargo. He also leaves his sister Teri Mullen.

Mr. Vargo was preceded in death by his wife Rosemary in 2008, his brother Edward Vargo and his parents Emery and Frances Vargo.

Private services were held. Burial took place in Concord Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
