Mrs. Esther "Jane" Loucks Tilton, age 92 of Painesville Twp., passed away October 4, 2014 at the David Simpson Hospice House of the Western Reserve. She was born October 5, 1921 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Thomas and Mary (Lewis) Phillips.
Mrs. Tilton was a longtime member of First Church, Congregational in Painesville and also the East Cleveland Womens Welsh Club. She was an avid reader and enjoyed bowling and traveling when able.
She is survived by her sons Kenneth (Judy Steele) Loucks of Charlotte, NC and Gregory Loucks of Painesville Twp. She also leaves her grandchildren Jason (Alison) Loucks, Alycia (Jim) Parsons, Erin (Allan) Turner, Stephen (April) Loucks, Katelyn Loucks and 8 great grandchildren and 2 nieces.
Mrs. Tilton was preceded in death by her first husband Clarence "Bud" Loucks, second husband Jack Tilton, daughter Barbara J. Kelley and sister Marjorie Conklin.
A memorial service will be held in the Memorial Chapel of First Church, Congregational, 22 Liberty Street, Painesville at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 11th. Rev. Thomas Cofer will officiate.
Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery, Painesville prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions are suggested to First Church, Congregational or Hospice of the Western Reserve.
