Obituary for Linda Lee Torrens (Merrick)
Mrs. Linda Merrick Torrens, age 69, passed away December 4, 2014 at Altercare of Mentor after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born December 11, 1944 in Painesville, Ohio to the late Fritz and Doris Mae Merrick. She and her husband Victor had resided in Dallas, Texas and Orlando, Florida before coming back to the area.
Linda graduated from Harvey High School and Kent State University with a bachelor degree in music. She was a member of the V.F.W. Post 2595 Auxiliary in Painesville. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, golfing, scuba diving and anything involving Lake Erie. She loved her two dogs and spending time with her husband Victor.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sister, Susan Thomas of Michigan and brother, John Merrick of Painesville.
Private family services will be held.
