Obituary for Elmer Edward Riihimaki

Elmer Edward Riihimaki
Elmer Edward Riihimaki went to his heavenly home on February 28, 2015, at the age of 71. He was born June 13, 1943, at Lake East Hospital and was a lifelong resident of Painesville.

He was an assembler at Tecmark from 1988-2013. Elmer's hobbies included reading, traveling, studying his Finnish heritage, and working jigsaw puzzles. He loved music and played many instruments including the recorder, guitar, ukelele, and the tin whistle. He was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church where he played the handbells and sang tenor in the choir for many years. We rejoice that he is now home with Jesus.

Elmer is preceded in death by his father Arnold, mother Aune Maria (nee Lehto), and brother Arthur. He is survived by his cousins Linda Clairmont of Michigan, Don Lehto of Texas, Mark Setala of Richmond Hts., and his Family of Friends from Zion Lutheran Church.

Calling hours will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 508 Mentor Avenue, Painesville immediately followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015. Rev. Jimmy Riley will officiate.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Painesville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Zion Lutheran Church.
