Obituary for Bobby Nelson Oliver

Bobby Nelson  Oliver
Mr. Bobby Nelson Oliver, age 76 passed away April 8, 2015 with his loving wife by his side. A 23 year resident of Madison, he was born April 10, 1938 in Tracy City, TN.

Bob was devoted to his family and friends, and loved spending time with them. After he retired, he also loved spending time working and hanging out with buddies at Erie Shores Golf Course. He valued and appreciated his life, and believed in living life to the fullest. He enjoyed golf, sports, dancing, traveling, making wine, drinking wine and having fun. Bob worked as an Electrician for Diamond Shamrock/Ricerca in Concord, Ohio for 34 years, retiring in 2000.

He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served from 1955 to 1959.

Bob is survived by his wife Vicki (Victoria) whom he married in Las Vegas in 1983 and renewed their vows in Madison at Immaculate Conception Church. He also leaves his children Aimee (Michael) Davis and Andrea Oliver (fiance Nick Kirby); and relatives Patricia (Douglas) Bibler; cousins Gene (Nancy) Oliver and Jewell Kilgore; sister-in-law Lisa Foreback; nieces Marie (Haskel) Meadows, Debbie Louis, Andrea Gregory and nephews, Dennis Nyomo, Frank (Vivian) Nyomo, Nelson (Patricia) Oliver, and Richard Dale (Renee) Oliver. Bobby was loved by many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents James and Ida Marie (Nunley) Oliver and six siblings.

Friends will be received at Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Avenue (opposite Lake Erie College), Painesville from 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 18th. A prayer service will be held at 3:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Madison Food Center www.madisonfoodcenter.org or Rabbit Run Community Arts Association, 49 Park Street, Madison, Ohio 44057 or St. Jude's Childrens Hospital at www.stjude.org.
