The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of William Polk can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Archie Dean
Condolence: So sorry to learn from brother Roger Sweeting
of Bill's recent passing. He was a classmate and fraternity brother at Bowling
Green. Very impressive list of accomplishments in the field of education.
So glad that we connected at our 50th class reunion a few years ago. Please know, Nancy, that our thoughts are with you and the extended family. May Bill rest in peace!

Condolence: To the family, sorry for your loss. May Gods word the bible, along with family and friends, provide comfort and support, during your time of sorrow, too help ease some of the pain. God hates death. He views death as an enemy. 1 Corinthians 15:26 says: "He will bring the enemy death to nothing" his son Jesus Christ said at John 5:28,29 "Do not be amazed at this, because all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out" so we have a promise and a hope of seeing our love ones again,
