Obituary for Robert D. Evans

Robert D. Evans died peacefully at the home he built for his family on September 17, 2015. He was born on April 26, 1923 in Grand River, Ohio to the late George and Martha Evans.

Robert was a Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a graduate of Harvey High School and The Ohio State University. Robert owned and operated Evans Construction Company for over 40 years.

Survivors include his daughters, Amy (Dale) Liikala and Mary Ann Evans; sisters, Martha Webster, Verna Crofoot, and Nancy Ruck.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sara Ann; sisters, Ida Heinbaugh, Mildred Gardner, and Helen Morton; brothers, George, Charles, and Melvin Evans.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 21, 2015 at 11:00AM at Evergreen Cemetery, Madison Ave., Painesville, Ohio.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Senior Independence Hospice, C/O OPRS Foundation, 1001 Kingsmill Parkway, Columbus, Ohio 43229, or to Honor Flight Cleveland, Inc., 724 Coralberry Lane, Madison, Ohio 44051.
