Obituary for John William Eubank

Mr. John W. Eubank, age 94 of Painesville Twp., passed away December 20, 2015 at his home. He was born April 20, 1921 in Webster Co., W.Va.

Mr. Eubank was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post 7754 in Fairport Harbor. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served from 1942 to 1945. He and his wife Betty enjoyed traveling to 48 states. He retired from Lubrizol in 1984 as a Boiler Engineer and had worked at the light plant for the City of Painesville prior.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years Betty J. (Keener) whom he married on August 1, 1948; daughter Mina Eyster of Lakeland, FL; sons Gary (Nita) Eubank of Geneva, Steve (Jackie) of Painesville Twp and Duane (Cheryl) of Angier, N.C. He also leaves his sister Ruth.

Mr. Eubank was preceded in death by his parents William and Mina (Rhoades) Eubank, and his children Billy and John E.

The family will receive friends from 5-7PM on Tuesday at the Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Avenue (opposite Lake Erie College), Painesville.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery with military honors.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve who provided excellent care.
