Memorial services will be held for Mr. Joseph Hisao Hughes, age 23, at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Avenue, Painesville. He passed away suddenly at his home in Painesville Twp. on March 30, 2016. He was born September 28, 1992 in Yokosuka, Japan to Christopher and Masumi Hughes.

Joseph enjoyed playing hockey since the age of 4 and was a 2011 graduate of Riverside High School. He will be remembered as a quiet, genuine good young man. He was employed at Dominoes Pizza in Painesville.

He is survived by his parents; his brother Kenneth Hughes, stepbrothers Amado and Angelo Reid, and half-sister Evangelynn Faith. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Joseph and Anita Hughes.
