Obituary for Judith Joan Banaszek (Pernus)
Judith Joan Banaszek, age 73 of Mentor-on-the-Lake, died on May 19, 2016 at her home. She was born on April 13, 1943 in Cleveland to the late Joseph and Johanna Pernus.
Judith worked as a machinist at PMC of Willowick and was a loving homemaker. She enjoyed her grandchildren and traveling by train to different destinations. Judith was a member of the VFW Post 9295 Ladies Auxillary, and Order of the Eastern Star #202.
Survivors are her husband, Theodore; children, Kelly Cunningham, Rome Banaszek, Steve Banaszek, Tracy (Kevin) Loucks, Theresa (Michael) Kline, Audrey (Matt) Vuicich; grandchildren, Whitney, Kyle, Noah, Nolan, Ava, Michael, Kylie, Lennon, Finley; great grandchildren, Henry and Jaxon; siblings, J.J. Pernus, Joel Pernus, Jeff Pernus, Jill Vogel, Nancy Travnik, Karen Schmoele, and Michelle Amato.
Visitation will be Monday, May 23, 2016 from 6-8PM at Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave. (Opposite Lake Erie College) Painesville, Ohio. Funeral service will be at 11:00AM on Tuesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Mentor Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to The American Cancer Society.
