Obituary for Bonita "Bonnie" Peddie (Grifftihs)

Bonita "Bonnie" Jean Peddie age 88 of Mentor and previously of Bettendorf, IA, and Brookfield, WI, died on June 29, 2016 at University Hospital. She was born on April 4, 1928 in Niles, Ohio to the late Ebeneezer and Katrine (Hall) Griffiths.

Bonnie was a 1945 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and a 1950 graduate of Hanover College in Hanover, IN with a bachelor degree in accounting. She was employed by Allied Metals in Niles. She was a member of Alpha Delta P. Sorority; past president and treasurer of Menotr Womens Club, and First Church Congregational where she participated in various activities. She was an ordained Deacon and Elder in the Presbyterian Church serving in Iowa and Ohio. She was an avid reader and bridge player.

She is survived by her husband, Paul whom she married on August 6, 1949; son, Jon K. (Richelle) of Delafield, WI; daughter, Carol of Ecuador; grandchildren, Brooke and Jackie; cousin, Lynne Bauer of CA.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 9, 2016 from 10-11AM at First Church Congregational, 22 Liberty St., Painesville with a memorial service to follow at 11:00AM.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Memorial Fund at First Church Congregational.
