Wilda March Griggs Wyant of Painesville, died on August 1, 2016 at David Simpson Hospice House. She was born on March 9, 1933 in Ashtabula to the late Fred March and Wilda May (Brooks) Griggs.

Wilda was an automotive bookkeeper and office manager for Bill Smith Oldsmobile and Classic of Painesville. She also managed Deputy Registrar Offices for several Registrars. She was an avid card player, Cleveland sports fan, baker, and enjoyed wintering in Florida. Wilda was a member of the Painesville Ladies of the Elks and Emblem Club.

Survivors include her sons; James (Linda) Wyant, Jr. of OH, Steven (Kelly) Wyant of TX; daughters, Sharon (Janet Gayle) Grabner, Kathryn (Joseph) Rose of FL; Sister, Lois Stackhouse of KY; grandchildren, Nikki, Evan, Zak, Karina, Austin, Courtney, Kenzie, Madison, Paige, Brooke; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James; step-mother, Lena Rhoads Griggs; brothers, Robert Griggs; step-brother, Ernest J. Rhoads; step-sister, Geraldine Rhoads.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 10-Noon at Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave. (opposite Lake Erie College) Painesville, OH. Funeral service will at Noon with burial to follow at Perry Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44110-9915.
