Alice Maxine Trout passed away Monday evening, November 14, 2016. She was born in Cherry Hill, PA on January 29, 1922 and lived across the road from a one room school house where she went to school. She skipped the third grade and that put her in the fourth grade with her brother Russell. They both went on to graduate from West Springfield High School in 1938. She was 16.
She married John Russell Trout on November 19, 1941. Maxine lived two years in Little Rock, Arkansas while her husband was in the Army on limited service during World War II. She and her husband owned Mentor Lunch and worked together from 1957 to 1975. She attended First Church Congregational for many years and was a member of The Heidelberg Group.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Trout and brothers Russell Marcy and Floyd Marcy as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Edna Marcy; brothers, Richard Marcy and Lloyd Marcy; husband, John Russell Trout and sons, Larry and James Trout.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 18, 2016 from 6-8PM at Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave. (opposite Lake Erie College) Painesville, Ohio and Saturday, November 19th from 10-11AM at First Congregational Church, 22 Liberty St., Painesville, Ohio. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00AM at the church. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Painesville, Ohio.
