Obituary for David E. Bucholtz

David E.  Bucholtz
David E. Bucholtz, age 76, of Concord, went to be with the Lord on January 13, 2017, while at home and surrounded by family. He was born on January 27, 1940, to the late Edward and Hilda (Maynard) Bucholtz.

Dave loved his church, family, fishing, boating, gardening, and the outdoors. His life is a testimony to the importance of God and family in a person’s life. The legacy he leaves behind is that of love, strength, and compassion. Dave holds a special place in many people’s hearts and will be missed by all who knew him.

Dave is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Anne (Blakely); children, Margot (Lisa Fisher, deceased) Bucholtz, Debbie (Doug) Justus, and David (Kris) Bucholtz; grandchildren, Daniel (Aimee), David, Emily, Jared, and Aaron; sister, Shirley (Jim, deceased) Weitzel; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved yellow Labrador, Gunner.

Dave was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Lake County Koinonia, and a past president of Painesville Kiwanis Club. He was the previous owner of Blakely Insurance and Aim Mail Center.

Family will receive friends on Friday, January 20, 2017, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio (opposite Lake Erie College).

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at Trinity Baptist Church, 9225 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Mentor, Ohio 44060, with Pastor Paul Sartarelli and Pastor Joe Boerman presiding.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Trinity Baptist Church.
