Kathleen Rae Bardar, age 59 of Concord, and lifelong Lake County resident, died on January 25, 2017 with her loving daughter, Jaimie and beloved dog, Benji by her side. She was born on May 19, 1957 in Painesville to the late Peter and Norma (Pagett) Bardar.

Kathleen was a 1975 graduate of Riverside High School and former employee of Ranpak Corporation in Concord. She was a past volunteer advocate at the Victim Resource Center and volunteered in the library and classroom at Melridge Elementary, she also helped coordinate Bible School at Painesville Baptist Church. Kathleen had a strong love for animals and rescued countless strays, but her special love was for her Lulu Mae and Benji. She made many crocheted slippers and blankets for all of her dear friends. Kathleen had a passion for cooking and could create a meal out of nothing. She loved interior design, decorating, and the arts. No one was a stranger to Kathleen, she extended a smile and a hug to all that she encountered. Her deep religious faith was a source of comfort during her difficult health struggles.

Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Jaimie R. Walch of Concord; best friends, Robert and Mary Sleeman, and Norman and Caroline Kvetensky.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her dear cousin, Vincent Orth, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave., (opposite Lake Erie College) Painesville, Ohio and on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 10:00AM until 11:00AM with a funeral service at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon, Ohio.
