Obituary for James D. Richner Sr.

James D.  Richner Sr.
James D. Richner, Sr., age 69 of Concord, died on January 27, 2017 at his home. He was born on July 28, 1947 to Donald and Jean Richner.

Jim was an active member of First Baptist Church of Painesville where he was baptized in 1957. He coached CLP baseball, football, and YMCA wrestling. Jim was a member of BPOE 549. His main focus was always on his family.

Jim was a 1966 graduate of Harvey High School and went on to Chandler Technical School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1970. Jim worked at Lanly in Euclid prior to owning and operating Ohio Oven Systems.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Ann (Miller) whom he married on August 5, 1967; children, Michael (Cindy Gauntner) Richner, James "JR" (Cindy Moore) Richner, and Kevin (Ariann Duncan) Richner; mother, Jean Richner; grandchildren, Gabriel, Austin, Gavin, Brady, and Alexis; sibilings, Donald (Sharon) Richner, JR., Kathy (Doug) Locke, Dale F. Richner, Sheree (Randy) Paramore, and Roberta (Ed) Hayes.

He is preceded in death by his father, Donald R. Richner, SR. and sister, Carol Ann in 1971.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 6-8PM at First Baptist Church of Painesville, 10801 Johnnycake Ridge Rd., Painesville, Ohio 44077 and an hour prior to the memorial service on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 11:00AM at the church.

Memorial contributions are suggested to First Baptist Church of Painesville.
