Obituary for Floyd C. Huffaker Sr.
Rev. Floyd C. Huffaker, Sr. was born in Clinchco, VA on November 16, 1941 to the late Cecil and Nora Huffaker. God called him home on March 18, 2017, he was 75 years old. Rev. Huffaker moved from his place of birth to Cincinnati, Ohio for a short time then to Painesville, were he met and married his loving wife Rosie Bell Thompkins-Huffaker, who precedes him in death. To this union they added three children. Rev. Huffaker was a long time resident of Painesville where he lived his life to the fullest, where he met and touched the lives of so many who grew to know, love and respect him. He loved gardening, working in his yard, and helping others out when ever he could. He was always looking forward to his visits to community churches and had a great love of music, but most of all, he loved his children.
He is survived by his children, Floyd C. (Daisy) Huffaker, Jr., Neza D. (Ayo) Huffaker-Oduwole, and Kevin W. Huffaker; grandchildren, Alexandria Carle, Kevin W. Huffaker, Jr., John Huffaker, Matthew Huffaker, Anthony L. Hall, Jr.; great grandchildren, Peyton Huffaker, Spencer Carle; brothers; Willie James Huffaker, Ray Leon Huffaker,Billy Wayne Huffaker,Robert Lee Huffaker Sister Doris Lightfoot; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 11:00AM at Union Pentecostal UHCA 159 Mathews Street Painesville, Ohio 44077 Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Painesville. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until the service at 11.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the family.
