Theodore William Banaszek, Jr., age 77 of Mentor-on-the-Lake, died on March 24, 2017 at his home. He was born July 21, 1939 in East Cleveland to the late Theodore Sr. and Stephanie (Cic) Banaszek.

Theodore retired from the United States Postal Service in 1994. He worked in the Euclid branch. He was a member of Willoughby Lodge # 302 F&AM, Chapter R.A.M. and Eagle Commandery # 29.

He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1957 to 1960.

Survivors are his children, Kelly Cunningham, Rome Banaszek, Steve Banaszek, Tracy (Kevin) Loucks, Theresa (Michael Sr.) Kline, Audrey (Matthew) Vuicich; grandchildren, Whitney, Kyle, Noah, Nolan, Ava, Michael Jr., Kylee, Lennon and Finley; great grandchildren Henry, Jaxon and Hudson and brother Paul. He was preceded in death by his wife Judith, brother Robert and his parents.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave. (opposite Lake Erie College), Painesville. Willoughby Lodge # 302 F&AM will conduct Masonic Services at 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Mentor Cemetery with military honors.
