Obituary for David T. Bruns
David T. Bruns, age 75 of Perry died on April 4, 2017 at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. He was born on October 26, 1941 in Cleveland to the late Clarence and Jean (Tracy) Bruns.
David worked in the maintenance department of Lincoln Electric for 37 years and retired in 2003. He was a member of St Cyprian Church and enjoyed helping to decorate the church during the holidays. He volunteered for the Perry Food Center. His favorite past time was tinkering around his home and working on his older cars. In his younger years, he enjoyed music and played the trumpet.
Survivors are his wife, Donna, whom he married on November 9, 1963 in St. Mary Church in Mentor; daughter, Tracy Gould of Perry; son, Curt (Shanon) Bruns of Perry; grandchildren, Troy, Blaine, Rachel, Taylor, Camryn, Ryan, and Colten; great grandchildren, Izzi and Spencer.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Shelly Raines.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 3-6PM at Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave. (opposite Lake Erie College) Painesville, Ohio 44077. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, at 11:00AM at St. Cyprian Church, 4223 Middle Ridge Rd., Perry, Ohio 44081.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve or Perry Food Center.
