Condolences

Condolence From: Patricia Kohut
Condolence: My deepest sympathy to your family. I met Luverne when my daughter Amy Jarrett was a student at Phillips. What a lovely lady. So warm and friendly, she loved all the children and their school.

Many years later while working again for the County, I would meet up with her occasionally when I had business at the commissioners' office. She always wanted updates on Amy and her family and we'd chat about the many changes that were occurring with the school.

I will keep your family in my prayers.

Condolence From: Judy MacLean Malley and Family
Condolence: I have very fond memories of Aunt LuVerne, and how much she enjoyed family gatherings. She was always laughing and full of energy! Her love and devotion for Uncle Phil, Joe & Sylvia was the highest priority in her life, and our hearts go out to them during this time. Please know that although we are unable to attend, you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Condolence: Aunt LuVerne, you will always be remembered as special. Marc, Alexis, Erica and I knew you as everyone else who encountered you did - as someone with love and energy to offer anyone at anytime. Within your tiny frame was an enormous zest for life and all it had to offer. You were optimistic at all times and nothing seemed to get you down. Your smile and hugs will remain fresh within our minds and hearts while your laugh, unforgettable. Uncle Phil, Sylvia and Joe felt and received your fierce love which we hope will get them through this sad time. You will always remain dear in our hearts. We love you. Marc, Susan, Alexis and Erica

Condolence: To Phil and family:

LuVerne wa a great friend, both personal and professional. She was part of our "pioneer troop" which started Phillips school. At first she was a volunteer who opened the library and then she became a regular member of the faculty and staff. She was loved by students and teachers alike, for her philosophy was that a library must never be a place where children did not laugh and have fun. I have not seen her for over two decades, but received a touching letter from her last fall after my husband's death. What a lovely lady!
